UNC Asheville‘s Ramsey Library and Department of Africana Studies have released the second volume of Moja, their open access interdisciplinary journal of Africana Studies. Moja features interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary work exploring the contours of Africa and the African Diaspora; journal content explores subjects, stories and experiences from multiple systems of knowledge and knowing. Moja is a Swahili word meaning one and references the collective heritage—and cultural differences— of Africans and people of African descent.

UNC Asheville welcomes submissions for future issues. To learn more, visit the Moja submissions page.
