Members of the Carolina Consortium–including 14 members of the UNC System–have entered into a ground-breaking three year partnership with leading publisher Wiley to fund open access to articles written by authors at participating institutions. Starting January 1, 2022, corresponding authors based at these schools will be given the option of making their articles freely and openly available at no cost when publishing in any of Wiley’s 1400+ hybrid journals (subscription journals that offer an open publishing option).

Eligibility is based on author affiliation and manuscript acceptance in one of the more than 1400 hybrid open access journals published by Wiley.
