Academic Library Services at East Carolina University has formed an institutional membership agreement for open access publishing with Frontiers Media, a publisher of peer-reviewed scientific journals. This new institutional agreement allows ECU-affiliated researchers to publish in any Frontiers journal at 50% cost to them and with a simplified process. The other 50% of the article processing charge (APC) will be paid by the library. Frontiers publishes over 185 academic journals, with subject coverage primarily in medicine, technology, and the life sciences.
